We used Dogwood Crawlspaces to help us dry out the basement at 1007. We still have an issue with water coming down the exterior stairs, but the inside of the basement is DRY!

A Greensboro institution for eyewear with personality. You've seen the sign; go meet the people. Bonus: one of the team members plays lead guitar in WristBand. You'll find them right next door to Delicious.

Cycles de ORO

Our go to bike shop since we take our bikes there and have bought bikes from them too. A Greensboro institution near Hill Street and Battleground, family owned and serving Greensboro riders since 1975. (336) 274-5959.

The Extra Ingredient

Bodega

At 313 S Greene Street, right across from the Carolina Theatre. Fresh pressed sandwiches, grab and go snacks, drinks, consignment goods, and a shaded patio, from two entrepreneurs we genuinely admire. We love this place so much we wrote a whole blog post spotlighting The Bodega. It is 100% amazing.

Delicious Cakes

Delicious has quiche, a huge selection of pastries, and the biggest cappuccino, and every single thing in the case makes me want it in my belly. You can't have Union and Delicious on the same day, but some days you need biggest and some days you need yummiest. A super close walk or easy bike ride from our Wendover rental homes, right next door to House of Eyes.

CoreLife Eatery

Fresh greens, grains, and broth bowls for a quick, healthy meal.

Union Coffee

Where we ride our bikes for coffee when we don't ride our bikes to Delicious. Union is the smaller space, has bagels, and pulls a great cappuccino. Both coffee stops are bike friendly from our Wendover rental homes.

South End Brewing

Craft brewery on South Elm with great beer and a welcoming taproom.

Grapes and Grains Tavern

A speakeasy style wine and bourbon bar at Revolution Mill, with a piano bar and live entertainment. We know how to spot a food and drink business that runs a tight ship, and this crew does it right.

Handcrafted seasonal brews at an artisan bar in Revolution Mill, part of a small NC brewing family with locations in Winston-Salem, Lewisville, and Raleigh.

Solo Taco

Run by Cathy Unitis, the absolute most favorite yogi I have ever had the privilege to practice with. Cathy offers workshops and also leads incredible travel that I have been blessed and lucky enough to enjoy with some equally incredible women.

Radiance Yoga

My local studio, less than a five minute drive from my house, and perfect for 6am hot yoga in the dead of winter. Veda Spidel leads Sound Healing and yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays that leave me calm, refreshed, and grateful. This studio has attracted a truly wonderful group of humans. Amazing good vibes here.

Pear Tree Collaborative

Molly Libel cuts our hair here, and she also happens to live in our neighborhood. We love having her as both friend and stylist. We also see Sylvia for massage, and Rachel Rossabi for Rolfing. Rachel has unwound some long time deep knots in my back that acupuncture and chiropractic work had not reached. Both Rachel and Molly are super interesting to chat with, which makes every visit a treat.

WristBand: Live Music

WristBand is a vibrant local band led by the soulful TL Lineberry, delivering a nostalgic mix of Allman Brothers inspired southern rock and smooth yacht rock vibes. The Forge

Downtown Greensboro's community makerspace, and I cannot geek out hard enough about this whole place. I took a welding class there and learned I will not be a good welder and will be paying someone else to do that task for me. BUT they also have sewing machines, all the power tools, and 3D printers, plus people who know how to use all of this stuff and are genuinely excited to show you and share their craft.

Doggos

An off leash dog park and bar in one, and the perfect outing for guests staying at our pet friendly rentals. One important heads up: Doggos is strict about your baby dog being up to date on vaccines, so have your paperwork ironed out before you go so you're not in a situation.
